Team Dynamics family business converted into premium racing squad SnapLap
Steve Neal, the founder of multiple BTCC champions Team Dynamics and father of former title winner Matt, has died at the age of 82. Neal competed in the series - then known as the British Saloon Car Championship - during the 1960s at the wheel of a Mini Cooper and was a front-runner in his class during a five year spell as part of the grid.

Eventually Neal moved into sedans and became one of the renowned representatives of Minis - ironically one of the greatest drivers shone in the smallest of cars. Driving for the works Cooper team in 1968, Neal took an overall victory in the British Saloon Car Championship (the forerunner of the BTCC) at Crystal Palace, where, due to the short circuit, the smaller classes were separated major.
